Antic Mind Theatre Company Poster of Importance of Being Earnest Tour

Antic Mind's international tour of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, has now come to a close.

After a fourteen weeks of hectic touring around 49 towns and cities in northern Italy, doing 87 performances in total, it has been a demanding schedule for our actors and stage crew.

The tour has been highly successful: seen by  59,000 people - one in a thousand Italians -and generating some interesting and highly appreciative copy in the Italian press.

The play was produced and adapted for the Italian audience by Kevin O'Hara, directed by Chris Binns in the UK and Claire Johnson-Cook in Italy and performed by Sean Cannon as Algernon, Victoria Manning-Jones as Cecily, Julie Kinsella as Miss Prism, Julie O'Hare as Bracknell,  Charlotte Binns as Gwendolen and Nigel Laird as Jack.

Set design was by Kevin O'Hara and Alberto Caprioli; Costumes were designed by Claire Johnson-Cook and Pamela Johnson-Cook.

The tour was arranged and administrated by our partners in Italy, Palkettostage.
